The seventh practical article of the series Dictionary Skills in English Lessons for the 8th and 9th Grades. Picture dictionaries are considered to be a very useful tool for both teaching and learning English. Mostly they are used for teaching younger children but they can be successfully used in the lessons for older pupils too. This article gives only a few simple tips how to work with this kind of dictionary and it describes two examples of creating topic based picture dictionary.
